Hard to believe there are still tomatoes to harvest on the last day in October. Pulled the plants yesterday and found some lurking eggplants as well. Got my plants from Canyon Bounty Farm via North End Organic Nursery and can't recommend them enough. All turned out beautifully.

Gonna make green tomatoe pie. Tastes just like apple pie.

Squash are still going.

Beans, too.

The bean rows gave us an idea for next year: a maze made of beans and cucumbers and other vining things!

I planted these beans too late. There are flowers all over the vines. Sorry, beans.

A giant rattlesnake bean and a fresh bloom.
Found some perfect garlic starts in my veggie bin. Those go into the garden today with the flower bulbs.

And finally, my lovely garden assistant demonstrates proper technique for double-jointed zombie arms with one crossed eye.
